"My mother was in the hospital, so she assigned me the task of exchanging her laptop. After three trips and getting my mom from the hospital and bringing her to the store, James Moore fixed everything. Treated my mom with great compassion and respect. Thank you James!!!"

"I've always been a big fan of Best Buy and especially Geek Squad. However, I recently purchased a laptop from Best Buy in May for around $1,300-$1,500. Less than five months later, it completely shut down. As a Best Buy/Geek Squad member for over 10 years, I expected reliable support. Instead, the experience has been extremely disappointing.\n\nRepair timeline: I was told the repair would take 2 weeks. It has now been over 3 weeks, and the only update I receive is that they are "waiting on a part."\n\nEscalation confusion: Four days ago, I was told the case would be escalated. When I followed up today, a new manager said his manager would escalate it, but I'd need to wait another 3-4 days just to find out if that's possible.\n\nImpact on livelihood: I work in defense contracting. During the recent government shutdown, no RFPs were coming out, so I was already on hold. Now that solicitations are finally being released, I can't respond because my laptop is still stuck in repair limbo. This delay is directly affecting my ability to do my job and pursue contracts.\n\nPolicy rigidity: I asked if they could simply exchange the defective laptop. I was told that's not their policy -- it must be repaired a certain number of times before an exchange is considered.\n\nUnhelpful suggestion: A manager actually suggested I "just buy another laptop" to use while waiting. That is not a realistic or responsible solution, especially after already investing $1,300+.\n\nNo alternatives: I asked if they had a loaner program or any workaround. They do not.\n\nAfter more than a decade of loyalty, I expected better. Best Buy/Geek Squad should recognize the impact of delays on customers' livelihoods and offer practical solutions -- not leave long-term members stranded without options."

"I'd had my son ship me a 32" Insignia TV from Amazon which turned out to be too small for my armoire. One visit to Best Buy in Lafayette, I found was not enough as I needed a refund from Amazon for them to take it. My son started the paperwork, and I downloaded it easily. Took those two sheets to Best Buy on the way to Indy down US421 for a party, as well as the TV. The polite guy at the return desk called for a manager who started the process. When she finished, she asked it the box had been opened, which it had been to "look" at it. She confirmed that the contents were all there and said, "You're good to go." And my son in VA. told me that he promptly got the confirmation for his refund. One thing, the store designation should be "Zionsville," not "Carmel West." Been up and down the Michigan Road since 1940 and calling it "Carmel" which is way over on US 31 is quite a stretch. Nice experience and will save me some traffic time on Wed. when I go back to Lafayette to the VA. Thank you."

"I ordered a dishwasher in mid November and had it scheduled for delivery at the end of November. They rescheduled my appointment for 12/5/25. Today is 12/4 and I'm just now getting a phone call to let me know that they don't have the inventory yet to deliver to me. It has literally been over a month and I had to take the day off of work to make sure someone was home between your 12 hour delivery window- and you cancel on me the day before?? POOR SERVICE. POOR BUSINESS. I canceled the order entirely and I'm going somewhere else. I will never shop at Best Buy again for anything."
It seems like just yesterday Epson was unveiling a new projector, and the company certainly isn't slowing down. Just a few months ago, Epson expanded its Q series lineup with an impressive ultra-short-throw model, and now they're back with another announcement for its Pro Cinema series with the...
The projector space has always been a relatively slow evolution, especially when it comes to dedicated home theater projectors, but the past few years have seen a different kind of momentum coming from the lifestyle category. What started as compact, portable units for casual use has grown into...
I have a brand new Epson 4050 4K projector. Unfortunately, I am experiencing intermittent "blacking" of the screen. The external audio plays perfectly and the screen blacks out last 5-10 seconds. This occurs infrequently on both DVD's and streaming (Aapletv). If I rewind the DVD the screen...
Hi guys I just bought a used projector and it’s working fine but it has a large yellow/orange spot on the top left of the screen, I’m new to these so just wondering why it’s there and how to fix it, I’ll attach pics soon
General rule for projector distance: screen width x lens throw ratio (.9-1.5 for Max/Pro 2). If your screen size isn’t listed above, try this calculator to basically: • select a screen ratio • specify a measurement for diagonal or width or height and it auto-calculates the other two dimensions • specify lens throw ratio • etcetera • get projector distance results Projector Calc ...
The projector also features Sony’s XR Triluminos Pro, which improves color reproduction by recognizing saturation, hue, and brightness. The XR Clear Image technology incorporates a Super Resolution Database, signal analysis, and noise reduction to deliver superior upscaling of lower-quality sources. Gamers will appreciate that the BRAVIA Projector 7 now includes two HDMI 2.1 ports with 4K at ...
Many LG CineBeam HU810PW/AU810PB owners are experiencing dead-pixels and this issue conveniently started after ~1 year of usage, right when the projector is no longer under warranty. Initially, LG was offering courtesy fixes through the presidential liaison, but after a few requests they started...
The Aurora Pro MKII is the successor to the Aurora Pro MK1. It’s an Ultra Short Throw (UST) projector that uses a 0.47-inch DMD chip and an RGB Tri-Color laser system. It features Appotronics' latest ALPD 5.0 RGB+ optical laser engine which delivers 2,400 ANSI lumens. Many features carry over from the original, including support for HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision, along with 3D ...
3) Turn the projector off. 4) Wait until the fan stops running (the projector goes completely silent). 5) Turn the projector on again using only the actual projector's Epson remote WHILE ALSO PRESSING AND HOLDING DOWN THE MENU BUTTON. 6) The projector starts up properly with no errors. This actually works for me.
The Plus 2 is currently selling for $2000 and at that price I don't think any other projector can touch it. But I see very little discussion of it here in the "Under $3000" sub. All the Valerion action seems to be in the "Over $3000" sub. Why should those guys have all the fun? If you're in the...
